Brown bin collections during icy or snowy weather
When it is very cold, any moisture created in your brown bin by garden waste may freeze. This causes some waste to stick to the side of the bin, which means it does not fall out the bin when it is emptied into the bin lorry.
We try hard to empty all brown bins during bad weather but we cannot always unstick frozen waste from the bin.
If we are unable to empty it, or can only partly empty it, because of this, please bring your bin back in and we will empty it on your next scheduled collection day.
