Meet the buyer 2024 – 5 June 2024
, Scotland’s largest Meet the Buyer event, will be hosted by the Supplier Development Programme at Hampden Park on 5 June 2024. Come along to meet with procurement teams, buyers and supply chains to learn about upcoming projects and tender opportunities locally, nationally within Scotland and across the UK.
This free event gives suppliers access to buyers and decision makers from organisations across the public and private sectors. You'll have the chance to introduce your company, talk to the key contacts and find out about any tenders and projects buyers have in the pipeline for both local and national businesses.
Meet the Buyer can help your micro, small and medium business get into public sector supply chains. SMEs will be given the chance to meet buyers connected to public sector projects that are looking to support local businesses and Community Wealth Building.
91¸£ÀûÉç School Uniform Bank
91¸£ÀûÉç School Uniform Bank provides new school uniform and other essentials to children who are facing hardship all over 91¸£ÀûÉç. When a child goes to school in the “wrong” clothes, they are vulnerable to bullying, low self-esteem and poor mental health. The effects can be devastating. Children and young people are referred to the charity by professionals like pupil support workers and social workers. They can choose six new items to help them fit in, look smart, feel confident and do their best at school. Many children are living in poverty, and others need help because they have had a sudden change of circumstances like fleeing domestic abuse or moving into kinship care.
Youngsters need new school uniform and other essentials like trainers, school bags, coats, stationery and sportswear. Businesses could provide these by asking what is most urgently needed and buying the items in and providing funding for the charity to purchase exactly what's needed for each child.
A typical pack of uniform costs around £50, so a donation of £3,000 could support around 60 children.
Team volunteering opportunities are sometimes available, and visits are always welcome. For more information and contact details please .
