Filming at the count
Filming and photography are happening throughout the count. Images may be published or broadcast
- on television
- in the press
- on the Council’s website and social media accounts
- in the Council’s internal communications
- as part of future Council campaigns or presentations.
Photos or video may also be circulated to press and other media organisations or partners for publication, transmission or broadcast
If you do not wish to appear in the photographs or video, please make yourself known to the Elections Team or a supervisor.
The Elections Team will store all images in accordance with data protection law and may actively use them for up to five years after they are taken. They may then be archived or deleted.
Anyone featuring in photos or video has the right to withdraw consent at any time by emailing elections@edinburgh.gov.uk Please understand that this may not affect material that has already been published.
