When filling in the short description, remember to insert the location. For example, “New development on site of 8 New Street, 91¸£ÀûÉç” or “8 New Street being redeveloped to form 3 flats”.
Remember to fill in the planning application reference and building warrant number. For phased developments, an additional site plan highlighting which properties are covered by the warrant is required. Please be aware that addresses will not be released until all consents have been granted where applicable. You are welcome to submit one application for each building warrant if you wish.
Fill in the number of properties in the appropriate boxes and, if there are none of that type, please leave blank.
Developers can suggest street names for their development where required but they must meet with street naming criteria set out in the Statutory Addressing Charter. Please do not complete this section unless new streets are being formed.
Plans should be flattened, greyscale PDFs. Every property requiring an address should be clearly identified by a PLOT number and the numbers should run from Plot 1 to Plot x, x being the total number of addresses required.
The drawings should only include where the properties are accessed, where they are in relation to their neighbours and, if there are flats on several storeys, the handing of the stair.
Please also be aware that if a block is handed, we need a copy of the floor plans as they will be built. You will be asked to resubmit the drawings if they do not meet these requirements which may result in a delay to the application.
Please clearly indicate any doors which are for use only in emergency situations.
Please do not include proposed street names or numbering layouts, as these will be decided upon by the Street Naming Technicians.
