Cricket in primary school
Kwik cricket is a soft ball, scaled down version of cricket played by beginners. This fast and fun alternative to hard ball cricket is used in our primary school programmes. We run kwik cricket all over the city, linked to cricket clubs.
We also take part in a regional primary school festival with the winners going on to the national championships. We set up cluster clubs around the city for those interested in playing the game, but not yet confident enough to join established cricket clubs.
Cricket in secondary schools
We run three cricket teams, the Lothian School Squads, for age groups
- under 13
- under 15
- under 17.
The players are selected from state schools city wide and play matches against schools in other local authorities, as well as independent schools in 91¸£ÀûÉç.
