Musical instrument lending in 91¸£ÀûÉç Libraries

Borrow a musical instrument from the library

91¸£ÀûÉç Libraries are part of a pioneering instrument library service initiated by and partnered with which enables us to loan musical instruments to our members.

We have musical instruments suitable for both adults and children. You can borrow a musical instrument from

Craigmillar Library
Drumbrae Library
Moredun Library
Music Library
Muirhouse Library
Wester Hailes Library.

How it works

There is no charge to borrow a musical instrument. All you need is an 91¸£ÀûÉç Libraries membership card. If you’re not already a member of the library, you can join online or in person at any of our libraries.

Instruments can be borrowed for three weeks and renewed unseen up to three times before they need to be returned to the library. If an instrument hasn’t been requested by another member, you will be able to borrow it again.

Due to the fragile nature of the instruments, they are not transferred between libraries, so must be borrowed from and returned to their home library.
